PopSockets Grip
A collapsible phone grip that sold 290 million units and nearly $200M a year - with zero venture capital.
A compact analog gaming keyboard with magnetic Hall-effect switches and Rapid Trigger, pioneered by a self-funded Dutch team of seven.
The Wooting 60HE is a compact 60-percent analog gaming keyboard built around magnetic Hall-effect Lekker switches. Each key measures travel to 0.1 mm, so actuation points are fully adjustable and analog input can drive racing games like a controller. Rapid Trigger lets a key reset the instant it lifts, a feature now copied across the gaming keyboard industry. The board supports up to 8,000 Hz polling for sub-millisecond latency in Tachyon mode. All configuration happens in the browser-based Wootility app, with profiles saved on-board.
Wooting was founded in the Netherlands in 2015 by three gamers frustrated with digital keyboards. The team spent years refining analog switch technology while staying self-funded and independent. Its early keyboards were crowdfunded through its own website rather than Kickstarter or Indiegogo. The Wooting 60HE founders' campaign opened in October 2021 and raised EUR 255,129 from 1,298 backers, hitting its goal within 12 hours. By September 2022 the company still had only seven full-time employees. In December 2023 the Wooting 80HE founders' campaign raised EUR 7,452,597 from 23,355 backers in just 32 days. Deliveries began in October 2024, and the 60HE v2 followed in 2025. Wooting's Discord community now exceeds 100,000 members.
